These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of sac-hvac.com and the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (“HVAC”) services, products, and maintenance plans provided by SAC Heating and Air (“SAC Heating and Air,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our website, requesting an estimate, scheduling service, or purchasing a product or plan from us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. Our Services
We provide installation, diagnostics, service, maintenance, and repairs for residential and light commercial HVAC systems in the Sacramento region. Services are performed by our technicians or by qualified subcontractors working on our behalf. We may decline or reschedule work that falls outside our service area, exceeds the scope of our licensing, or cannot be performed safely.
2. Estimates and Pricing
Any price generated through our online estimate tool is a preliminary range based on the information you provide. It is not a binding quote. Final pricing is confirmed only after an on-site evaluation of your home or building, equipment, ductwork, and installation conditions.
- Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise.
- Work discovered during a job that falls outside the approved estimate will be quoted separately and requires your approval before we proceed.
- Diagnostic and service-call fees, when applicable, are disclosed before the visit.
3. Scheduling, Access, and Appointments
Appointment times are arrival windows, not guaranteed times. Weather, parts availability, and emergency calls can affect scheduling, and we will contact you if a significant delay occurs.
You agree to provide safe, unobstructed access to the equipment and the work area, including access to attics, crawl spaces, electrical panels, and outdoor units. Please secure pets and disclose any known hazards before we arrive. If our technician cannot access the equipment or safely perform the work, a return trip may be required and a fee may apply.
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a scheduled appointment. Missed appointments may be subject to a fee.
4. Payment Terms
Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due in full upon completion of the work. Equipment orders and large installations may require a deposit before the equipment is ordered or scheduled.
- We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice or at checkout on our website.
- Past-due balances may accrue interest or late fees at the maximum rate permitted by California law.
- Returned or declined payments may be subject to a processing fee.
- You are responsible for reasonable collection costs, including attorneys’ fees, on amounts we are required to collect.
5. Maintenance Plans and Recurring Billing
Our maintenance plans are subscriptions. By enrolling, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file automatically at the start of each billing cycle until the plan is cancelled.
- Plans renew automatically unless you cancel before the next renewal date.
- You may cancel at any time by contacting us using the details below. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
- Except where required by law, payments for a billing cycle already begun are not refundable on a partial basis.
- Plan benefits, including tune-ups, priority scheduling, and repair discounts, apply to the covered property and equipment identified when you enrolled, and are not transferable without our written consent.
- Unused visits within a plan year do not roll over.
6. Products Purchased Through Our Website
Product availability, specifications, and pricing may change without notice. If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to an error, we may cancel the order and issue a full refund. Returns and refunds for products purchased online are handled under our posted refund and returns policy.
7. Warranties
We warrant our workmanship for the period stated on your invoice or service agreement. Equipment and parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty, and we pass those manufacturer warranties through to you; we are not the manufacturer and do not extend or enlarge those terms.
Our workmanship warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, or lack of recommended maintenance;
- Work, alterations, or repairs performed by anyone other than SAC Heating and Air;
- Pre-existing conditions in ductwork, electrical, plumbing, or building structure that we identified and disclosed;
- Damage from power surges, flooding, fire, pests, freezing, storms, or other events outside our control;
- Normal wear items such as filters and belts, and routine consumables.
Warranty service requires that your account be current.
8. Disclaimers
Except for the express warranties stated above, our services and products are provided “as is” and we disclaim all other warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. HVAC equipment is mechanical and can fail; we do not guarantee that a system will remain free of faults, that any repair will extend the life of aging equipment, or that any specific energy savings or comfort result will be achieved.
Content on this website is provided for general information only and is not a substitute for a professional on-site assessment.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SAC Heating and Air is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost income, spoiled goods, alternative lodging, or loss of use, arising out of or related to our services, products, or website. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service or product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under California law.
10. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate contact, property, and equipment information.
- Obtain permission from the property owner if you are not the owner.
- Disclose known hazards, including asbestos, mold, gas leaks, faulty wiring, and structural issues.
- Operate and maintain your system according to the manufacturer’s instructions, including regular filter changes.
- Notify us promptly of any issue you believe is covered by our workmanship warranty.

Our website may link to third-party sites, manufacturers, financing partners, or rebate programs. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SAC Heating and Air, its owners, employees, and subcontractors from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our website, or your failure to disclose a known hazard at the property.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time you request service or make a purchase is the version that applies to that transaction. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
